About Ruth "Rue" McKnight

With over 20 years of experience in the accounting field, Ruth “Rue” McKnight has cultivated a deep passion for helping businesses and individuals navigate the complexities of bookkeeping and tax planning. Her journey began with a temporary receptionist role, where her natural affinity for numbers caught the eye of a company controller. This sparked her transition into accounting, where she honed her skills under expert mentorship. Rue’s dedication to professional growth led her to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, followed by a Master’s in Accounting (MAcc) from Western Governors University. She is also a credentialed Enrolled Agent, approved by the IRS, with plans to sit for her CPA exams in 2025.

Rue’s approach to accounting goes beyond the numbers; she is committed to helping clients strategically manage their finances, maximize profits, and make tax-conscious decisions throughout the year. As an Enrolled Agent, she is uniquely qualified to provide in-depth tax planning, preparation, and resolution services, offering clients a level of expertise and insight that ensures they’re always in compliance while optimizing their financial outcomes.

In addition to her core services in bookkeeping and tax preparation, Rue is expanding her offerings to include cash flow management, helping small business owners better track and manage their financial health. Rue has also partnered with trusted financial and wealth management advisors to provide comprehensive retirement planning, giving clients a full suite of services for long-term financial success.

Whether you’re a small business owner looking to grow your earnings and presence, or an individual seeking to manage your personal finances, Rue provides a trusted partnership built on integrity, clear communication, and a commitment to long-term success. With her experience, credentials, and passion for financial problem-solving, Rue is equipped to guide clients through the challenges of bookkeeping, tax preparation, and financial planning.

Rue is also offering specialized analysis to help Schedule C business owners determine whether transitioning to an S-Corp would be beneficial. This in-depth analysis helps clients make informed decisions that align with their goals and optimize their tax position.

When she’s not helping clients build their financial future, Rue enjoys solving jigsaw puzzles, reading suspense novels, and exploring new destinations whenever possible.
